Project Overview
Hertz Engineering Limited successfully executed the design, construction, and commissioning of a 34.5kV overhead powerline for Eiffage Énergie Systèmes. Scope of Work
1. Engineering Design & Planning
- Conducted a site survey and feasibility analysis to determine the optimal powerline route.
- Designed the 34.5kV power transmission infrastructure, including conductor sizing, pole placements, and grounding systems.
- Developed a detailed electrical load study to ensure system efficiency and future scalability.
2. Construction & Installation
- Procurement & Supply: Sourced high-quality conductors, insulators, lattice towers, and monopoles for the overhead line.
- Tower & Pole Erection: Installed galvanized steel lattice towers and monopoles for structural stability.
- Conductor Stringing & Tensioning: Ensured precise installation of high-voltage transmission lines with strict compliance to safety standards.
- Insulation & Protection: Installed lightning arresters, circuit breakers, and grounding systems to enhance network protection.
3. Testing, Commissioning & Integration
- Conducted high-voltage testing, insulation resistance checks, and phase balancing to verify system reliability.
- Ensured seamless integration with existing power infrastructure, reducing risks of power instability.
- Finalized grid synchronization and system commissioning to ensure optimal operation.
