Hertz Engineering Limited successfully completed the construction of a 22km, 33kV Overhead Power Line (OHPL) as part of a local district network expansion. The project involved the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of both lattice towers and monopoles, ensuring a reliable and efficient power supply to the region.
Scope of Work
Our responsibilities in this project included:
- Survey and Design: Conducting topographical and geotechnical studies to determine optimal tower placement.
- Tower and Pole Erection:
- Lattice Towers: Installed in high-load zones for enhanced durability and stability.
- Monopoles: Used in urban and constrained spaces for minimal environmental impact.
- Stringing of Conductors: Laying and tensioning high-voltage 33kV power lines.
- Insulation and Protection Systems: Installing surge arresters, insulators, and grounding systems for network safety.
- Testing and Commissioning: Performing voltage tests, load assessments, and final integration into the power grid.
